Meet Auburn, our Denim & Diamonds Client Ambassador!

We can’t wait for you to meet Auburn T., our 2025 Denim & Diamonds Client Ambassador!

Auburn has dived into so many of our programs — from Career Wardrobe and the Going Places Network Job Search Program to Career Coaching and the Google Certificates Program — and she’s been building skills, confidence, and connections every step of the way.

Since graduating from the DFS Virtual Job Search Training Program, Auburn has spoken at the Santa Clara County Commission on the Status of Women’s forum on unhoused women and girls and shared her story at a City of San Jose Domestic Violence Project meeting. In August, she began a Peer Support Specialist internship with Momentum for Health. She also attended Silicon Valley Pride for the first time this summer, serving on both the Street Team and Lead Volunteer Team — an experience that deepened her connection to the community while uplifting LGBTQ+ visibility.

Auburn is continuing her studies at Mission College and will graduate this fall with an AA in Liberal Arts and an AA-T in Social Justice. She is pacing her studies intentionally, postponing her Project Coordination Certificate to focus on completing her degrees. These choices reflect her commitment to grounding herself and honoring her worth beyond productivity, centering alignment over output. Her next goal is to transfer to San José State University to study Communications.

As a Client Ambassador at Denim & Diamonds, Auburn hopes her story affirms that trans and gender-expansive communities are seen, valued, and thriving.

“I would like to send a message to those in my community that it’s safe to receive support and services from Dress for Success. It’s okay to ask for what you need,” she says.

Denim & Diamonds is an unforgettable evening toasting incredible women winemakers while raising vital support for Bay Area women on their journey economic independence. We hope you can join us!
